Never plan anything. I planed to go to Salzburg today, taking some photos (and especially some panos), but sadly this plan was postphoned then, because I had to play taxi driver. Weather forecast for that area is bad the next days, so its not very likely I will go there in the next few days.
But now for some good news. All photos are scanned and uploaded to my B/W-Blog under shadowhighlight.wordpress.com
. Well, not everything, taking with Thomas today reminds me of me 2nd film I shot in Vienna, and I forgot to develop that one. Such things always suck. Now I have to take more photos just so I can develope soon again. Also, upload seams to work again.

Fans at the soccer game
After developing yesterday, today was scanning day. Took a bit longer then I thought, so the last film, the Foma, is still on negatives only. Rest is scanned, still plenty of films from the soccer EM, but some other stuff too. The Zorki fogged a bit, but otherwise all turned out quite well. And think I have to add a bit time to the TriX@2000 stuff.
I pt a few ones up here, but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Be patient

Posing to film the last 3 frames
So, whats the best thing you can do next to going out? Yep, developing photos from better times, when you COULD go out :P. The weather was mixed to nice today, but since it was way over due, I set up my lab and started to develope
First was an TriX@ 2000, 19 min in XTOl did him well, but will try 21min next time, still could be a bit more dense. Nice frames from Medival games and Werners Birthday.

who turned out to be 5 frames (Zorki counter)
Next in line was an APX 400, from my OM-2, taken during the soccer games. Old roll, but I think I will find some great ones there.
Then there was 1 APX 100, random stuff. No idea. Same as the APX 400 that was in the Zorki, todays photois from that.
And last, but sure not least, my Foma 200 test roll. Allready love that film, can’t wait to see the scans. Pity I just got 20 rolls of that.
Will try to scann all tomorrow, so stay tuned for more photos. Both photos today are shot on a 60 year old camera today, developed, scanned and now posted.

Forecast for todays afternoon was realy bad. Rain, storm and even hail, even got a hail warning for today. But then it was just a boring, afternoon. No idea where the bad weather has vanished, but it did. Even got nicer the later it got. It took it untl nighttime for the rain to finally show up.

Cleaning up
I went cycling a bit today, around early noon, southwards to Maria Rain, but not much futher, because of the very bad weather that was coming :P. Nothing again.
Only good about this was that the time in the afternoon gave me some spare time for some indoor stuff to do. I finally upgraded the blog to WP2.6, what now finally offers build in image caption. What of course, was totaly messed up with my theme. So I spend quite some time with firebug and the theme editor to find the broken CSS code (like missing links for the aligncenter stlye and wrong image paddings/margins). Also the comment section was kinda misshaped on some browsers. Right now, everything should work.
Also, I started again to make some place to get a new desk to move my computer to get my darkroom. But this might take some more time

Aainst all odds, the weather started quite nice, so I could go to university, take my classes and get bach home without getting drownd by the rain. But not long after I got home again, the rain started with thunder and lighting.
Since with that weather, hardly any people would been in the city, so instead of going there, I started to scan the films I developed recently. And there I found out that I realy like the 24mm on the film camera. The sticky aperture it had healed itself, so thats fine now, only problem it still has is that when the sun is in the frame, contrast is down in the cellar. Besides that, its great. The scanned images can be seen on flickr here.
And also, I uploaded the panos from the fan zone.

The weather improves from day today, but still we get our share of rain every day. And somehow, lucky as I am, I always get into it. But at least I managed to find some cover in time.
I didn’t stay the whole evening in the city, just took the Bessa with ISO 100 film today. Only been in the city for the France - Romania game, hardly any fans in there, newspaper started to call this a (G)Host-City. Its not that bad, but still, I expected a bit more. Thats why I didn’t bother to grab something faster from home and start watch the other game today.
Instead, I started to develope the films from the last days, both worked out excellent, looks I start to get to know my films and developers by now :). Because I got no ethanol to dry the film yet, they needed quite long to dry, so no scanning today. But tomorrow.

Rain. Showers. Thunder and lighting. That’s pretty much what the forecast said for today. And as usually, nothing of that happened. Even the sun came out, just for a short moment, but still. It wasn’t as hot as some days ago when the sky was clear blue, but also it was dry and no water from above. Great weather to go out and take photos.
I met up with Gervin in the city, he wanted to order some stuff and also ha d a film for developing. For shooting, I went with the OM-2 + 24/2,8, he took a bit more and used his F3 with 8mm Peleng, 17-35 and 60-300. I took the OM-2 for 2 reasons, one was that it has a nice 24mm lens that let me get close, 2nd I wanted to test it because of the metering issue.
Never seen that much police in the city, on every corner there were a group of 6 standing around. Other corners had even more. Right now I guess we have more police then fan wandering around, makes the city the safest place ever. Lets see if that’s true tomorrow too, when the first game starts.

The day started quite scary, when we found my brothers cat Jack almost motionless in the bathroom, with pawns and nose very cold. We packing him in the transport case and went to the vet, to see what was wrong with him. We don’t know what it was right now, but the vet keeped him there and put him on an infusion to clean his system again. We just have talked with her on the phone later, but it looks like he recovered a bit, we will know more tomorrow. Its still hard to say if he will be ok again.
When we got home from the vet again, it started to rain here quite badly, almost flodded the streets. Since I had some rolls to scan, i started with that. In the breakes from scannign, I talked with my brother a bit, he was quite depressed about his cat beeing so sick right now.
Scanning went all in al quite well, even when i encountered more problems with the films then i’ve thought. I still have to refine my developing process a lot more. The new scans can be found on my B/W blog here

First sorry this comes delayed, have notwork problems right now.
Today was a holiday over here, and since my grandma asked for some computer help and my dad had to deliver some stuff there, we visited her today. Weather wasn’t the best too, so I couldn’t take some more panos from the city, so I agreeded. Highways wern’t realy croweded today, so we arrived there in no time.
There it was the usuall stuff, adjust some parts of the computer that someohow got changed, explain some stuff about the emails agai, but overall, no big problem. After a tasty lunch, we showed some of the photos fro our vacation (you know those boring slideshows, or?), we went back hom in the afternoon.
At home, my brother and me prepaired some stuff for my mothers surprise birhtday party today, but becasue she thought we will met up with her at my aunts house, that party was delayed a bit
In the meantime (and after the party), I started to scann some rolls I developd recentl. First one is allready in my blog. Check it out here.

A alarm clock ringing at 7am is never a good sign, and today was no exception of that rule. 8am classes should really get banned from university. Getting to university, they moved our class again to another room, and luckily I got there in time to get a empty power socket. Not easy with just 6 available in a room for 100 People.
Luckily, our usual professor wasn’t there today, instead the founder of the first austrian web
site dedicated to females did a presentation about the internet as a virtual learning room. Not very interesting and I get already sick that this class is only about women websites. As if there were no other websites in the internet. Right in the middle of the presentation, they showed the powerpoint slide you see on the side. It was about that when you are confronted with a problem, the community will help you to find a way. I’m curios why the person on the illustration didn’t just walk around the wall, but I guess thats just because I’m not university material.
Next class was without our usual professor too, but his assistant held a short presentation, and then we watched a film. Well we wanted to watch one. First thing, they couldn’t get the sound right. You could hear the background noise, but the voice was impossible to hear, like the karaoke function some soundchip drivers have. After around 20 min of fixing with one of our house techs, they finally got it working. In that moment, I tap Michi on the shoulder and say “The only thing missing now is if it would crash”. And just a few seconds later, the screen went black and it really crashed. So much about those invincible MacBooks.
In the afternoon I went again to the university, and on my way I spotted those new signs for the EM.
Since they will walk almost across the university, I’m looking forward to see how the fans will crash it. Anyway, at university, I met with my project group, discussing some issues about our presentation next weekend. Shouldn’t be to hard. We had to check by the university to see if some book was available and what we had to work out. I stayed there a little longer since the new NG was finally out.
Quite a good article about the Cern there, hopefully I can snap some panos there one day too.
Rest of the evening was finding out what panos to replace tomorrow. Since none really looked thru my panos (just got 2 responses), i looked thru all images again today, will have to retake around 25 panos tomorrow. When I think I took around 100 on a good day normally, thats not very much.

Oh, and another thing, I got the scanner back from Michi today and couldn’t resist to scan in the half film I made with the Zorki. The lens look pretty sharp, and also exposure looks pretty good, apart from the strong under developing (not my fault), and also it got quite dusty in his cellar. Hope you still like the photos.
