THe next, big flea market in Klagenfurt started today, the one in Viktring. I went there pretty early today, meeting Gervin at the market and together we searched teh area for some good deals.
Sadly, today was a pretty slow start, we both found some stuff, but it was nothing special, and far away from any cool new camera gear. I’m afraid I used up all my camera gear luck with the 2 new Olympus lenses. Btw. I found out today that the 35/2 came with a mint h

At the flea market
ood. Woho
And also btw, two films are 75% full, hopefully can finish them off tomorrow and then start developing on monday, since the forecast isn’t very good.
For tomorrow, I hope it will stay good. Want to take some panos

Taking the pano
With prett good weather again today, I decided to go cycling. I planned to go along the river again, but severl people showed up, everything went just to slow. When I finally had time again, I didn’t wanted a longer tour anymore
Instead, since someone made a rquest for it, I went for the Ebentaler Watterfall for a nice pano. I expected a bit more water then there was, but otherwise it dosn’t look that bad. But still I think it worked well. Pano looks good, but is still rendering right now, so wait for tomorrow please.

MY new shiny baby
Since it was quite a short trip, I went to the city, and just wanted to visit the photostore to see if there is something new in the 2nd-hand shelf. Allredy from the distance, I spotted some Olympus lenses, and on a closer look, there were some really nice ones. 35/2.8 shift, 24/2, 35/2, 55/1.2. The 24 and the 35/2.8 were a bit expensive, but the 35/2 and the 55/1.2 were priced VERY cheap, and I couldn’t resist and 5 min later, and with 50€ less, I walked out with 2 neat lenses. Both look very good, sure no hardcore user. Specially the 55/1.2 is interessting, its the erly version with rare earth elements (noticing a yellow cast), good thing this one should be the best version. Allready shot one film, will develope soon.
Aout shooting the film, in the evening we had a meeting with the flickr group, mostly fun, but also start to talk about the upcoming photo workshop. Something realy cool will happen this year

The problems with the internet started yesterday, but at this time, I thought they were provider related, so I just restarted both the router and the cable modem and went to bed.
Sadly, this didn’t help much, connection was still crap in the morning. Discovering that on other computers in the network everything was working nicely didn’t help much. Knowing that the computer is to blame, I started to run some repairing software. First some malware detection/removal software, next some antivirus scanner. Both found some stuff, but sadly nothing that improved that stituation.
I know I could just sweep the drive and start with a fresh clean version, but I wanted to delay that a bit, until I moved the computer over. But before I tried that, I gave Windows system restore a try, and it solved the problem. I still have no Idea what was wrong, but at least it isn’t wrong anymore.
Internet works great again, and with the new google browser, its fast too. Anyone tried it too yet?

Cutting some wood with my uncle
We actually planned this for months now, but it never worked, either someone was busy or outside the country, or it just keeped raining. But today was different, everyone had time, and the weather was fine too. We all went to my granpa oday to cut down “some” wood for next winter, and sicne we were enough people, after 6 hours everything was done. This should now last until next summer.
I also found a nice spot for a pano, but we went there to late today, have to go there again when the sun is setting, but not down. You can’t have everything.
But what we had was a nice BBQ in the evening, and that was really good

Since last years calendar was such a big hit (5 sold, and all to me
), i decided to try it again this year. It can only get better. Because I have quite a lot of panos to choose from, I tried to put them all together to make it possible that everyone could vote for their favourite panos.
So everyone, please take a look at this link, pass it on to everyone you want, and click ALL the panos you would like to see in a calendar.
In other news, not that much action today, weather seamed ok (but far from the summer the forecast announced) today, but once I went cycling it got dark, and because I had no intentions to get wet and get sick again, I made the trip a little shorter then planned. Also it wasn’t the best panorama weather either.

Food break
I was planning to visit Salzburg to take a lot of panos for some days now, and with Joao visitng Salzburg on his family trip across Europe, I decided to go today, meet up with him and check out Salzburg.
As usual, he didn’t made it easy for me to find him, not telling me where he was when I could look it up, then telling me where he was and instantly going somewhere else. Took me 1,5 hours to finally find him.

Joao chimpin :P
After dropping some stuff (films) at the hotel, we went to the city, me taking the Bessa, he had his D70. But the moment I changed over to the pano stuff, he grabed my Bessa and tried to keep it
With noone knowing anything in Salzburg, we mostly stumbled across the city, looking for places to take photos of, meeting his family several times and going on a few dring searching breakes. There are awefully few stores in Salzburg, btw.
This lasted almost the whole rest of the day, and after visiting castles, old buildings and other stuff, and also a short break in the park, it was time for me to get the train back home.

Its summer again outside, sadly its not supposed to stay so for a long time. We were doing a short roundtrip, had to bring some photo printouts to my grandpa for the house contest (best docorated house), and my cousin at my aunt called me, their computer refuses to boot.

Geting cam clean for tomorrow
My grandpa was quite happy about the photos, and instantly wanted more to show around, good I have some free 4×5″ paper left
Fixing my cousins computer was “easy”, at least spotting the problem. The harddrive had troubles getting running again, putting the computer on the side solved this for now. Hope they can backup their data in time, next step will be a small harddrive tosing contest.
Back home, some shopping was done for tomorrow, also had to get my gear in the right shape. Stay tuned for Salzburg panos

Fixing the wire of the phone charger
Weather isn’t sure what to do, today was rather mixed, it sometimes looked a bit like bad weather, but overall it was pretty nice today. Far to nice to sit at home all day, so I went cycling with a friend, to the Spintik lakes. The water up there was pretty cold for summer, gues the last days did their best to cool it down.
Since the weather was ok, but not great, I had some time to sit around at home and look at yesterdays photos, edit them and put them on flickr here for you all to enjoy.
Besides that, not much done today, was a slow day. But on the toher hand, I had plenty of stuff to fix anyway

First sorry, I couldn’t get on the site, after 10 min to load the WP login page, I gave up.
Weather started to get worser again, bad timing, I’m fine again and also there are the Highland games out tomorrow. With the rain today, not much was to be done, just a bit cleanup, fixing the remote shutter again (stupid cable always get loose), and working on my website, I plan to redo the whole site, with a selfmade CMS instead of wordpress. Not sure how well it will work, but I hope that way I can add some features realy want to have for quite a while.
Btw new, upgraded this blog to WP2.6.1 and uploading finally works again.
Oh and btw, new lens is traveling towards me

Posing to film the last 3 frames
So, whats the best thing you can do next to going out? Yep, developing photos from better times, when you COULD go out :P. The weather was mixed to nice today, but since it was way over due, I set up my lab and started to develope
First was an TriX@ 2000, 19 min in XTOl did him well, but will try 21min next time, still could be a bit more dense. Nice frames from Medival games and Werners Birthday.

who turned out to be 5 frames (Zorki counter)
Next in line was an APX 400, from my OM-2, taken during the soccer games. Old roll, but I think I will find some great ones there.
Then there was 1 APX 100, random stuff. No idea. Same as the APX 400 that was in the Zorki, todays photois from that.
And last, but sure not least, my Foma 200 test roll. Allready love that film, can’t wait to see the scans. Pity I just got 20 rolls of that.
Will try to scann all tomorrow, so stay tuned for more photos. Both photos today are shot on a 60 year old camera today, developed, scanned and now posted.
