Christmas, Part 2

Its Christmas, so it was time for the traditional Christmas trips. First in the morning, we went to Wolfsberg to celebrate with my grandma.  As a side effect, I went also to the small, good photo store there, since it was closing down for good now.  I was there some time ago already, so I know he had a nice Durst M370 for a bargain.  I already have one nice enlarger, but the Durst U70 is not hat good for the tiny negatives I get with 35mm film.

After the enlarger, we explored the back of the store a bit more, and found some old TMAX 100 films and lots of old developer, like Rodinal and Micrphen.  Specially look forward to some tests with the later one.

Working on the last present

Working on the last present

After the shopping frency, I  was back to the first christmas dinner for the day and the usuallcelebration around the tree. Ater that, it was time for a change of scenery, we drove to my aunt for the 2nd christmas celebration of the day. We arrived there in the early afternoon, with plenty of time left until christmas eve.

That was good, since the last present, a metal owl, wasn’t done yet.  I realy need to do more welding, I did a lot back in school time, but that was quite a while ago now, and specially at the beginning, it was horrible, not a single line was even acceptable.  I was badly out of training, but after a few tris, I gotthebasic things back, and at the end, the welding wasn’t that bad anymore. Not as good as  it was once, but ok.

I was done with everything after around 2,5 hours, plenty of time left before the evening to play a few rounds of Muchkins, then it was time for the usuall christmas dinner here and after that, the singing around the tree. Luckily for me, I managed to skip that :P

And now its time to go to bed too, we might get some interessting weahter tomorrow, I still need to take some new panos to test the new version of Autopano.
