The weather just keeps being nice lately, and since also the wind was gone today, I packed my gear and headed of to the city. Deciding what to take was hard, 30D with Peleng for panos (REALY want to take new ones, but no idea of what), Olympus OM-1 with 200/2.8 or the EF-m with the 20/1.8.
in the end I ditched the digital body and went to the city with the film ones, first the EF-m with the sunlight and all the colorful political parties there, later the OM-1 for some “portrait” shots.
The OM-1 is a very nice camera, just need to get a cleaner matte screen for it. The previous owner must have scratched it a bit while changing. To bad Olympus dosn’t offer grid split screen mattes.
When i got home, I found a “present” from my dad, he got himself an Acer Apsire One (Linux Version) and had problems getting the E220 UMTS modem running. No problem I thought, just run the Live Update to get the Mobile Partner program and done. But nada, I got the software, but he couldn’t recognize the modem.
Restarting didn’t help, setting up the Netbook again didn’t help, manually installing the Mobile Partner software didn’t help, using a powered hub to make sure its no power problem didn’t help – then FINALY I found a firmware update for the E220. And suddenly, it worked.
A small note somewhere that a firmware update would have helped would have been really appreciated.
And also, here another set of scans. Christmas Market with OM-2, 35/2 or 55/1.2 on Foma400 that should have been developed at 1600 instead of 400
