More learning today, I did shorten te script I have to learn from by quite a margin, but still its a lot of information. To much, I decided today noon and so I went for a break. I wanted to test the new Nodal Ninja, and since we got a short rain free periode, I thought it would be a good idea. Also, I had to get a new card reader.
First news with the new Nodal Ninja, it feels much better made, not that the old one was cheap or so, it just feels much more professional now. The addition of click-stops is nice, sure no reason for me to upgrade, on the otherhand the improved handling sure is nice. The screws are now much better secured, so you can assamble it much more easily. The camera plate too is MUCH bigger now, 4 times the old one, maybe more. Also its easier to mount then the old one, so far this is been the biggest improvement for me. Also the rest seams to be much better working now.
I pretty much used the instructions from the website for nodal point settings, but they arn’t perfect, I still have to finetune the settings. The new Ninja also has markers, so once I get the perfect settings, it will be much easier for me to get it right the next time too.
Btw pano news, a friend confirmed that the new 16mm arrived, means next week I will have a 16mm Fisheye for some higher resolution panos. Looking forward to this.
The evenin was then spend at the first carinthian facebook party, expected more people, but still it wasn’t bad, specially since I met a few people I havn’t seen in months. I hope I don’t need another facebook party before I see them again next time. Photos can be found on my facebook account.
