Schools out for the Week

Another class heavy day for the end of the week, it started straight with “Home in Cyberspace”. Something that sounded quite interesting when I signed up for it, but the first lecture was enough to smash all my hopes for it. Its held by the very person that can’t use email and don’t know how to turn a notebook on. Sounds pretty good, dosn’t it. I’m not sure if I will learn anything useful in that class.

After that, I was looking forward to the next class “Playing in virtual Worlds”, but Michael crashed my hopes again when he told me the class is hold by the same person who had the previous one. Again, this already sounds like wasted time, I’ve seen her playing on a computer once, and let me tell you my cat did a better job.  Michael gave up earlier and didn’t even bother taking this class.

After that, we went for the only class today I was kinda looking forward, but again it was pretty boring, mostly because I don’t want to hand in a paper about the topic anyway. We can skip 3 of them, so I will use one of my jokers on that one. The other topics sure will be better then.

In the evening, Georg reminded me that the pub quiz was held today in the Claddagh again, and after a short talk with Michael, we decided to go to and join Georg there. We been there way to early (specially Michael), but at least thanks to that we had a nice place and didn’t had to stay.  Later

quite a lot of people showed up, and some of them I even did know, like Daniel and Stefan.  We first struggled a bit, with the 2nd last place after the first 2 rounds, but with round 3 (music) and 4 (movies), we managed to catch up a bit and still reached the 3rd place. Not bad for the first time. It was a great evening, but to long maybe, we’ve been there over 4 hours. Hope the next pub quiz won’t take that long.

And btw pub quiz, I hope to see you all next Tuesday for St. Patricks Day in the Claddagh.

OK, the sigma 20/1.8 has made it in my lens must-have list… might even get it second after the 16-35 ;)

Going to a quiz is fun but being a quizmaster is even better.
