Also found some stuff, just some minor photo gear, like a film bulk loader. I “found” a Nikon FM with 2 lenses, but sadly the body wasn’t working like it should, so again, no Nikon for me. Guess I will rather just keep looking for an OM-1. Noone has one left, or?

Oh, and btw, if anyone has some bulk film he dosn’t need. I would :P

2nd Flea Market, Day 1

THe next, big flea market in Klagenfurt started today, the one in Viktring. I went there pretty early today, meeting Gervin at the market and together we searched teh area for some good deals.

Sadly, today was a pretty slow start, we both found some stuff, but it was nothing special, and far away from any cool new camera gear. I’m afraid I used up all my camera gear luck with the 2 new Olympus lenses. Btw. I found out today that the 35/2 came with a mint h

ood. Woho :P

And also btw, two films are 75% full, hopefully can finish them off tomorrow and then start developing on monday, since the forecast isn’t very good.

For tomorrow, I hope it will stay good. Want to take some panos :)

Flea Market, the 2nd

2nd half of the big flea market today, not that I have found something special to buy (new celluar, but to expensive), but at least I meet quite a lot of friends today, and also could take some panos I intedded to take yesterday, but it got to late for that. And panos look good. What do you think, calendar or not?

Cleaning the enlarger

Cleaning the enlarger

Also; I worked a bit on my new enlarger. First step was cleaning, and after 3 hours of taking it appart, cleaning it with some pretty strong chemicals and putting it togther it works like new.

My only problem is the lens, its the 105mm one for 6×9 format, so with 35mm negatives they turn out rather tiny, everything fully extended allow me barly to cover 10×7 inch. Need to find at least a 80mm lens for it. If anyone out there has expirience with the Durst U70 model, please contact me.

Flea Market Time

My new enlarger

My new enlarger

It was time for the Altstadtzauber again, a bit festival in the inner, old part of the city, with a huge flea market that lasts all night long, music concerts and other magic or artist shows. Quite cool stuff.

Flea Market at night

Flea Market at night

Main even, for me at least, was again the flea market. I was primary looking for some camera equipment, but also other stuff (need another hat, and a new headlight), and also to take some photos. I went with the 30D+20/1.8 (simply love that combo) and headed to the city. I was in for quite some time, exploring the areal. Not much photo related stuff, most interesting camera was a Olympus 35 SP rangefinder, rest was just a lot of Practica and Minolta cameras.

But then I found a rare thing, one of them had a nice, old enlarger there. It was a Durst U 70, quite a old model, but still looking good. Lens is a 105mm, so I might have to get a shorter one, but in case I get a 6×9 camera, I have the right stuff. This now is properly my oldest piece of equipment, they were build first in 1947 :P

Me at the flea market

Later at 3, when I thought about going home, I meet Robert (know him from the medieval games), and we went across the flea market again, taking more photos.

In the evening, I went there again with Gervin, looking for more stuff and also of course, taking more photos. And those will be then edited tomorrow and put on flickr. Stay tuned.

P.S.: With the help of code-guru Ben, my shadowbox works nicely again.
