Water-walking

Taking the pano

Taking the pano

With absolute terrific weather today, we went to the Trögener Klamm, a narrow canyon in the lower part of carinthia, frequent readers might know it already.

Last time, we went into the lower part, today we skipped that and walked on the path to the end of it, and then started straight with the upper part of the Klamm. As said, the weather was just amazing, not a single cloud in the sky and you could have seen for miles. Should been on a mountain instead, but it was quite fine so too. And it was sure colder in the canyon then up the mountain :)

Quite surprising to us, we went with my uncle and his kids today, he phones yesterday if we might want to go, hes going in today. Seams like everyone want to go there on such a nice day.  Photos are halfway done, need to finish some tufused

one tomorrow, but besides the sneak previews in here, I can already show you the pano from there. Not perfect, sadly, but I’m still quite happy with it.

Stay tuned for more tomorrow. Then the photos follow.

Bike Trip

Class today was REALLY great. Showed up there, they said it was a really great semester and hopped we all learned something for ourselves, and then said good bye. Took 3 min at most. Getting there and back took MUCH more time.

After quite a few weeks of bad weather and rain, then sun showed up again and it was warm again.  I decided to go for a short cycle trip, and after a friend suggested it some time ago, I went to a small lake southwest of Klagenfurt, called Baßgeigensee (contra basses lake, because of its shape).

The sun was mocking me a bit, always hiding  behind some clouds when I wanted to take a photo, but otherwise it was really nice. Cycling was fun too, have to go more often.

Also, tomorrow is the birthday of Garfield. Hes exactly 5 years older then me :)

And here two photos from today:

Pond Trip

With the desert sand (and other air particles) washed out the sky, weather was perfect again. After my short class in the morning (and some dinner after it), I cycled to Gervin and we were heading for the Spintikteiche west of Klagenfurt. Very nice place, since hardly any people know this lake and how to get there.

Cycling was allready hard with the weahter, sun was at full power and not a single cloud in the sky. Luckily, we got into the forrest later, so the sun was at least partly blocked.  Up at the lake, we were going to take some photos on the shore side. I tryed some “highress” pano there too, and will I took it up there, Gervin took a short swim across the lake.

After getting back from the lake, we went to his house again, checking m battery charger. He couldn’t find any faults, so must be some problem with the chips or SMD parts. Instead, we redesigned the adapter to work on one of his special chargers, I borrowed one of them until I find the same on ebay for myself.A

Also, I put the old memory from this computer to a good use and installed it in his. 1,5GB instead of 0,5 makes a BIG difference.

Cycling and Panos

As predicted by the forecast, the weather was indeed excellent today. And what else could you do on such a great day then go cycling. I had to go to the photostore first, since I had a friends film to bring in for developing sicne he was in Graz already, and then it was off cycling.

My plan was go go to Wölfnitz, and then further up towards Glanegg. Still, somehow I must have missed a road and went into the wrong direction after Wölfnitz. After some more cycling, I started to notize a familiar castle at the end of the road. Turnes out, I took the wrong turn and then ended up in Moosburg. Ups.

Well, I might not have planed to go there, but since I already ended up there (and lack panos in that place), I decided to make the best out of it and so I took a few there. First one was on the main square, nothing special, but still nice.

The 2nd pano then I took inside the church. It looked quite cool from outside, but sadly the inside wasn’t as good as I expected it. Still, pano turned out nice.I just wish there would be a way to get to the church tower. It looked pretty promissing.

I didn’t want to get the boring way home, over Keutschach, know that allready pretty good. I decided to went home over Pörtschach, with the big extra that I pass past the Arnulfsfeste, a ruin castle tower. I went there allready quite some time ago, sadly it was under maintance that time, so not really good for photography. Today was quite different, got quite a good view there, and had to take advantage of it.

While I was standing up there, I noticed a geocaching container on the side of the tower. I couldn’t resist to take a look from what cache that was, so I went up there again to check it out. Sadly, some other idiot found it a few days ago and played a terrible prank with it. To bad he didn’t triped over there, he would have deserved it. There are way to many idiots up there.

With enough panos and photos, I then went further back home, good think I have a radio function on my celluar. Panos went right into the editing machine, and 2 of them are up allready, as you have seen. Enjoy them.
